Schille-Hudson juxtaposes war horses of the European classical canon (Bach Cello Suite #1, and Manuel de Falla’s Suite Popular Española with Grant Donnellan, violin) with lesser-known gems from Latin America (studies by Brazilian Heitor Villa-Lobos and Cuban Leo Brouwer) and North America (Mike Reardon’s Vesta and Pulse #1). The program concludes with music homegrown right here in Bellingham: Schille-Hudson’s own Introduction & Samba, and David Feingold’s evening portrait of our city, Boardwalk.
Full-length Night Beat is on Friday, February 3, 7:30pm, at First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham, WA 98225! No ticket purchase required; we suggest a $20 donation. Students are always free!
