
Baritone Mark Davies, pianist Emily Gantt, sopranos Ibidunni Ojikutu and Celeste Fraser, mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Feeney and clarinetist Erika Block will join in a celebration of art song, grand opera and Broadway. We will hear an English adaptation by Isaiah Bell of Poulenc’s one-woman opera La voix humaine, selections from Ricky Ian Gordon’s Autumn Valentine: A suite for Soprano and Baritone with poems by Dorothy Parker, plus favorite arias by Cilea, Moore, Rossini, Bizet, Verdi, Dvořák and Mozart. The concert will end with a song from the musical The Bridges of Madison County.
Free matinee program preview is on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran. Join us early for Coffee/Tea Hour starting at 9:30am in the atrium at Trinity. It will be a chance to mingle and get to know each other better while enjoying scrumptious nibbles!
For the full-length experience, plan on attending BMC Night Beat on Friday, Nov. 7, 7:30pm at First Congregational. No ticket purchase is required. Students are always free; we suggest a $20 donation for others. All are welcome!
