History
The Bellingham Music Club was founded February 22, 1916 in Bellingham, Washington by a group of musicians and lovers of classical music. The club has been in existence since it was founded.
The Bellingham Music Club supports young musicians by sponsoring competitions and providing scholarships in piano, other instruments and voice.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Bellingham Music Club shall be to foster and encourage the growth and development of music appreciation and performance in the community.
How can I get involved?
Membership dues are at present twenty-five dollars ($25) per person. New handbooks are given when membership is paid.
Executive Board meetings will usually be the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
In support of our mission to encourage young musicians, we grant awards to students who demonstrate talent, perseverance and fine musicianship. Auditions are held to determine winners.
Information about Donations and Tax Exemptions
The Club is approved as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service. Gift giving through donations or estate planning is tax deductible to the extent of the law. Any gift to support the mission of the Club is always appreciated. Some of our special funds for your gift consideration are: Student Awards, Centennial Fund and Special Future Performances.
