BMC Centennial Season ends on high note

Soprano Kathryn Copland, her father, cellist Mike Copland, and pianist Abdiel Vázquez, delivered two outstanding concerts to large, appreciative audiences: 150 people attended June 1 Free Wednesday Concert, and 130 came to Night Beat on June 2. What a glorious way to end the BMC Centennial Season!

Starting with a class reunion at the Gala Concert in June 2015, and ending with a family reunion this week, it’s been a spectacular year with each program bringing more sensational performers than the previous one. In addition to featuring professional musicians (20 of them past BMC competition winners), the BMC has granted a record $5,700 to talented youth this year, and has given away more than $100,000 since 1986. The BMC really lives up to its mission to foster music in the community!
