Celebrate the Whatcom Museum’s 75th anniversary year with a special cello concert performance by internationally-renowned English cellist Colin Carr, Monday, September 197-9 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) in the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall,121 Prospect Street. The museum partners with the Bellingham Music Club and the Bellingham Festival of Music and as well as generous members of the community, to bring one of the premier cellists in the world. 

Carr performs in cello festivals all over the globe (Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Winnipeg), as well as concertizing in Europe, Asia, Canada, and the US. He teaches at Stony Brook University and teaches master classes at Banff, among many other places. This will be his first performance in Bellingham—a wonderful opportunity to experience world-class music in our own backyard!  

Carr will perform solo cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach and Benjamin Britten. Tickets for this concert are $20 and are available online and at the museum. For more information, please call Whatcom Museum at 778-8930.
