With hopeful hearts, we will soon welcome a new and promising year! BMC board members and volunteers voice their gratitude to you for helping us meet remarkable challenges this year. Your encouragement, active advocacy, and generous financial support mean a stronger musical community and future.
As a result of all you have done and exceptional membership response this year, we can report some very good news. We will soon be announcing our schedule for the 2020-2021 Student Competitions, with adjudicated auditions beginning in the early spring. The Awards Committee has developed innovative plans, and is working with local music educators to assure that the BMC mission can progress, as it has for more than a century.
That is the gift you make possible for young musicians, and for us all.
Hopefully in the New Year, we can experience the joy of being together again on Wednesday mornings and for Night Beat concerts, applauding young talent and accomplished musicians alike. We look to that future and celebrate all the good things to come!
Until then, we invite you to look around our community, and appreciate the resiliency and creativity of our musical organizations. Below, we’ve included links to several festive holiday videos, produced by The Bellingham Symphony Orchestra, the Whatcom Chorale, and the Northwest Ballet Theatre. Click on icons to watch!
These are gifts to you, shared by these treasured institutions. Support them as you support us, and we will all come through this pandemic stronger and more unified in our shared love of music.
Best wishes to you and your loved ones for a safe and joyful Holiday Season!
