BMC Encores! is proud to present this video reprise of Hark! The Herald Headlines Sing!, our original cabaret musical that played to sold-out houses in 2018.
Five veteran cabaret pros give voice to the venerable Bellingham newspaper, taking their skit cues from the stories, classifieds, astrological forecasts, sports, comics and obits — not to mention swatting flies, lining birdcages and housebreaking puppies.
Music director Scott Henderson is joined by favorite performers, Martha Benedict, Martin Bray, Akilah Williams, Amanda (Carpp) Anderson and Paul Henderson, who play dozens of newsworthy characters.
The talented performers shine with lighting by Tanner Hanson, choreography by Martin Bray, and costumes by Genny Cohn. This video was recorded at the dress rehearsal on October 2, 2018, at The Firehouse Arts & Events Center.
