Bellissima Brass opens BMC’s 2025-2026 season with works ranging from the romantic to the modern and contemporary. A program high in virtuosity that will celebrate feminine talent and “Elevate Your Spirit”!
Michelle Rockwood, horn; Karolyn Labes & Shelly Devlin, trumpets; Amy Kavanagh, tuba, and Emma Eliason, trombone, will play works by the newly rediscovered Florence Price and the unsung Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel; “Shaker Tunes” and “Seacoasts” by Gwyneth Walker, as well as the playful and lyrical “Aspects” by Barbara York. You will love it all!!!
Come for a program preview on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 119 Texas St. in Bellingham. This is BMC’s gift to the community! Free and family friendly.
Then, enjoy a full-length program on BMC Night Beat Friday, Sept. 5, 7:30pm at First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham. No ticket purchase is required. Students are always free. We suggest a $20 donations for others. All are welcome!
